Bore Hole Pump in Exmoor National Park

Model installed: RSPS Vario Driver 4AB-2PV

An existing bore hole pump was installed in a remote location on the Exmoor National Park over 25 years ago to provide water for livestock and has always been powered by a petrol generator.

The petrol generator needed constant time and maintenance in purchasing, storing and transporting fuel, driving to the site to fill and run the generator and then returning a day or two later to repeat the process.

A RSPS Vario Driver 4B-2PV was installed in early October 2023.

The old petrol generator was decommissioned, and the bore hole pump was plugged into the RSPS solar generator.

RSPS now runs the bore hole pump automatically six times a day for 15 minutes each run, exceeding the water demands of the livestock and requiring no maintenance. It is described as a ‘game changer’ by the farm.
